Reports to the Joint Commission
Employees may complain to the Joint Commission about a patient safety event or concern about a health care organization in the following ways:
The preferred method for submitting a concern to Joint commission through Joint Commission’s online submission form as it allows for more direct, timely receipt and review of your concerns.
The Joint Commission is not a health care provider. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911.
If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 988, The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
- Online: Submit a NEW patient safety event or concern
- Online: Submit an UPDATE or ASK a Question about your incident (You must have your incident number)
- Joint Commission does not accept faxed or emailed submissions
